Bare Knuckle · ROUND LENGTHS & TRAINING USES
Bare knuckle round timer settings
UFT’s bare knuckle library provides a BKFC match-style clock and a bag-round training timer. Both use two-minute work periods. The separate names make it easier to keep a competition timing reference apart from a solo training session, even when their numbers happen to match.
Bare Knuckle round format
BKFC’s published rules specify five rounds of two minutes. UFT’s BKFC preset combines that work structure with one-minute breaks. The Bag Rounds preset uses the same five-round work-and-rest pattern as a training template. Other organizations may use different formats; the BKFC name identifies this preset rather than describing all bare knuckle competition.

A modern clock with a historical reference
BKFC describes its scratch lines and ‘toe the line’ starts as a reference to historical bare knuckle rules. Its modern scheduled two-minute rounds are a separate timing choice. For the app’s preset, five rounds mean ten minutes of work plus four minutes of scheduled rest: fourteen minutes before preparation. There is no extra break after the last round.
Every Bare Knuckle preset in UFT
These settings come from the app’s timer library. Rest is between work periods; the timer finishes after the last work period. Preparation is separate. Custom timers can change the count, work time and rest.
| Preset | Work and rest | Use |

Competition-style formats
BKFC
5 × 2:00 / 1:00 rest
Five two-minute work periods in the app’s BKFC format. The clock identifies a rule-set pattern, not all bare knuckle events.
Training formats
Bag Rounds
5 × 2:00 / 1:00 rest
Five two-minute bag intervals with one-minute breaks. Follow your coach’s equipment and technique instructions; this label does not prescribe unprotected bag work.
Choose a timer for your training
Use Bag Rounds to organize a coach-planned bag session; the sport label is a timing reference, not an instruction to strike without protective equipment. Set a task for each round and use the break to reset before the next bell. You can change the round count while retaining two-minute work periods, or make a custom timer for another organizer’s published format.
- Open the timer library in UFT and select Bare Knuckle.
- Choose the named preset that matches the session. For a different sequence, create or customize a timer in My Timers.
- Check the round count, work and rest. Set preparation, warnings and optional warm-up or cooldown before starting.
